For those of you who don't know, ETS is our city transit system (Edmonton Transit System).

Through out the many years of riding Public Transit, I'm sure we all have many stories we can tell from our rides on the bus.

Post your public transit stories here even if it's just the odd "One time I got on the bus and ______ happened"

I'll start first.

This happened about a week ago. I was taking the #8 back home from NAIT, and it stopped at the mall. A few people got on and an older looking guy sat beside me who was wearing a blue jean jacket and blue jeans (I was in the back section). Well, I though he was normal until he started rocking back and forth in his seat the whole ride and yelling out random words. When the bus stopped for people he would start to yell "no. NO!" and start slapping his hand and his knees. If it was a longer stop he would announce that we had been there for "a minute...we've been here a MINUTE!!". Everyone on the bus was looking at this guy, I think he had some sort of mental illness or something. Thankfully he got off the bus down town which is one of the earlier stops, as I was sitting right next to him.

Oh, and today I got off the #8 to transfer to the #4 and when the #4 finally gets there after 20 minute of waiting, the operator said the bus was "not good". So I end up waiting for a new bus to arrive...

The buses around here usually don't care about pedestrians. The other day I was walking down to buy a game and the bus didn't stop to let me cross but sped up. Seriously?! Not only buses which do that but bad drivers as well.

I don't know about Edmonton transit, but one halloween a couple of years ago I was coming back from a party on the train (Calgary) and there were these two freaks dressed as SuperTroopers (very good movie) sitting in the middle. I was about halfway home when one turns to the other and projectile vomits all over his face. But it geets better: as I was exiting the train because it smelled so goddamn terrible, my friend slips and bails right into it, covering his pants.

That has got to be one of the funniest transit rides I ever took.
